Stable Talk
March 2005
Welcome
to our first entry on the “News and Events” page! Our
biggest news is the completion of our new
web site! We hope everyone finds it
informative, entertaining, and user friendly!
Despite
the winter weather, there has been a lot of activity at the barn. We braved the elements and attended many
shows in December and January. Congratulations
to Meg Marchetti and Nick for leading the
Zones in the
Children’s Hunter Horse (older) so far this season ~ way to go Meg! Congratulations also goes to Alex and Elvis,
Dani and Wyatt, Ryan and Duke, & Courtney and Haley for their
accomplishments in the Children’s Hunter Horse division!
Joining this successful group in the
Children’s Hunter Pony division is Emily and her large pony “Rosie”. Congratulations for your winning rounds!
We
have also seen success in the Walk-Trot-Canter, Equitation and
Pre-Children’s
Pony divisions …
Ashley and Jet and Katelyn and Quincy
are always in the top ribbons. Good work
girls!
No
horse show would be complete without the winning team of Olivia and
Magic ~
congratulations for bringing home the ribbons in Short Stirrup! Our new little riders, Dani and Abby, are
always winning and improving in the Walk-Trot division – keep up the
good work!
Sometimes
our Adult Amateurs look like they are having way too much fun … Janine
and
Poptart and Patti and Duke have a great start to the year!
They are waiting for Jackie and Cal and
Elizabeth and Rivendell to join them in giving Betsy a few more “gray
hairs”!
Accolades
go to our green horses that have won Champion and Reserve Champion at
their
first shows of the year … way to go Elizabeth and Rivendell and Ryan
and
Sarah! Look for Rivendell to make her
Pre-Green debut this spring. Jen
and
her new horse Lilly and Megan and her new horse Nikka have already won
many
ribbons in their divisions … best of luck to these new winning “teams”!
We are always having
fun here at Hollyhurst … whether we are showing together, taking
lessons
together, or just spending time in the barn together … there is never a
dull
moment! Thanks to everyone for working
as a team and always willing to lend a helping hand.
As always, many sincere thanks go to Betsy
for patiently teaching us, supporting us, putting up with us, and
making us
laugh ~
