Stable Talk We have had such a busy winter and spring here at Hollyhurst Farm! We are excited to welcome some new families, new horses, and a beautiful new foal to the Hollyhurst family. As always, we have been busy riding, showing, and having a lot of fun. We would like to congratulate Betsy and Max on their fine showing in the Breeding classes at Devon this year. Hollyhurst Farm’s beautiful 2-year-old filly, “Mylena”, by “Mynos”, earned two 2nd place ribbons while their yearling colt “Point Taken” and their 2 year old colt “Winter Waltz” also earned good ribbons in their classes. Congratulations Betsy and Max! We would also like to congratulate the Morrets on the birth of their adorable foal “Milton”, by “Zarr”. He is entertaining all of us as we watch him grow and keep his mother “on her toes”! Congratulations also go to our high school graduates here at Hollyhurst … great job Dani, Courtney, and Sam! Beat of luck to you all! We would like to take this time to congratulate and welcome all of the new horse and rider teams here at Hollyhurst as we wish everyone the best of luck with their new horses! CONGRATULATIONS! Olivia Rickards and “Heart of Gold” Laurel Bennett and “Magic Dream” Katelyn Sites and “No Doubt” The Haldi Family and “Tuff Stuff Sabrina” Greg Bennett and “Cavalier” Katie Snyder and “Rocket Man” Lin Podolinsky and “Presely” Brooke Euyler and “Serenade” Katie Marchetti and “Charlotte” Sally Timmons and “Addie” Patti Savastio and “Bellapolitan” As we find ourselves well into the hot summer months, we would like to acknowledge all of the riders who have been working hard and showing all year. It seems like just yesterday when we were battling the cold and showing indoors! Dani and “Northern Light” are currently 1st in Zone II Large Junior Hunters – keep up the good work Dani! Meg and “No Worries” are back in the show ring and doing great! Emily and “Pippi Longstocking” are doing great in the Large Children’s Hunter Pony Division! Katie and “Rocket Man” are making their mark as a new team in the Pre-Children’s Horse Division and Walk-Trot-Canter Equitation! Katelyn and “No Doubt” join them as another new team and are doing great in the Pre-Children’s Horse Division! Olivia and “Heart of Gold” are having great success in the Children’s Hunter Medium Pony Division. Abby and Dani and “Cappucino” are amazing the crowds in the Walk/Trot and Children’s Hunter Medium Pony Division. You are both doing great! Elizabeth and “Rivendell” have had much success this year in the Adult Amateur Hunters. Keep up the good work! Erin and “Instant Karma” have started the year with great success in the Modified Hunters and join the list of green horses making their debut in the show ring: Alex and “Rowan” have been doing great in the Modified Hunters. Sally and “Addie” are successful every time out! Karina and “Hogaan Daas” have started showing this year and are doing great also! Avery and “Magic Dream” have shown us that they are a great Walk/Trot Equitation team. Keep up the great work! Sydney and Ali and “Magic Dream” are doing great in the Short Stirrup and Leadline Divisions! Meghan and “Saint Nikka” continue to amaze us with their beautiful jumping style and are doing great in the Children’s Hunter Horse Division! Betsy and “Cavalier” have been very successful in the Pre-Greens. Joanne and “Ocean Breeze” have begun showing in the Modified Hunters and are doing great! Lin and “Presley” join them in the Modified Division making a great new horse and rider team! Bree and Maureen and “Serenade” have had a lot of fun and success in the Pre-Children’s Horse and the Pre-Adult Hunters. Courtney and “Distinguished Honors” are also having a great time in the Children’s Hunter Horse Division. As we return from a fun and successful week at The Devon Classic and The Devon Horse and Pony Show, we once again thank Elizabeth for organizing our trip! Everyone did great and we all had a lot of fun! We would like to close by thanking all of our exhibitors, sponsors, and volunteers who helped to make the 2006 Hollyhurst Farm Horse Show Series a great success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
