Our Story

Kathi & Terry 2.jpg

In February of 2020, Terry and Kathi Rickert purchased Hollyhurst Farms in Carlisle, PA. Coming from a life-long passion for horses, Kathi is looking to help “Bridge the Gap” between the equestrian disciplines by offering various clinics, workshops, and educational lectures. The Rickerts are in the process of renovating the original farm. Since their purchase, they have taken the property from 85 acres to 210 acres by acquiring surrounding land that is contiguous to the original farm. This purchase allowed for seven miles of manicured Hacking Trails to be created.

OUR TEAM

At Hollyhurst Farm, LLC, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for the Equestrian Community. Each member brings a unique set of skills and expertise to ensure the best for our clients and our horses.

Kathi Rickert

OWNER

Over the years Kathi has dedicated her time to gain knowledge for the care and welfare of horses.  She believes that a true horseman will see beyond just the riding of their horse. Her interest in making sure horses stay healthy and sound found her attending and successfully completing "The Whole Horse Dissection Clinic" with MVDr. Ivana Ruddock in 2017. In previous years, in the winter, Kathi rode her horses on snowy moon lit nights and in the summer swam her horses in lakes, rode in parades, competed in the show arena, rode the Appalachian trail prior to horses being banned, competed in Hunter Trials, was trained in the art of riding Side-Saddle, organized clinics for horsemanship trainers and international eventers and still found time to be a member and "ride to hounds" with four Foxhunting Clubs on the East Coast. Through her personal experience, as well as studying and training with various clinicians, Kathi has developed a skill for preparing horses to be the best they can be. Here at Hollyhurst Farm, LLC Kathi plans to help the equestrian community 'Bridge the Gap' between the disciplines by offering clinics, workshops, and educational lectures.
