Founded on a noble history, modern Quadrille riding is an art form that dates back to the pageantry of the early royal courts of Europe. One of the many valuable lessons you will teach your horse by riding Quadrille is your horse will learn to pass other horses and to be passed without protest and to go at the speed you choose regardless of what other horses around them are doing. Quadrille Clinics at Hollyhurst Farm, LLC are fun and they are a wonderful learning experience for both horse and rider.
Our knowledgeable clinicians will help integrate validated principals of dressage with the best of Western stock horse tradition. You will learn to use clear, effective, subtle aids coupled with a confident seat and light, responsive hands. This communication will help you create a safe, pleasurable, versatile, and useful working horse or mule. Hollyhurst Farm, LLC looks forward to helping you develop a partnership that will last a lifetime.
Equine Gymnastics and/or Cavalletti, is a wonderful way to help improve your horses scope, agility, technique and balance. A simple Cavalletti circle exercise may help improve your riding skill. The predictability of this gymnastic exercise encourages your horse to improve their jumping form and will allow you to focus on your form as well. Hollyhurst Farm, LLC's gymnastic grids and Cavalletti exercises can help both you and your horse get ready for the event field, dressage arena, the hunter show ring, the hunt field and whatever discipline you are studying.
Targeting the mental and physical aspects of riding we combine meditation and yoga practices to dive deeper into our position and mindset. Our body alignment is crucial in helping our horses. Our clinician will focus on our breathing, position and mindfulness no matter your skill level. Hollyhurst Farm, LLC welcomes all breeds to give this a try, even mules will benefit. Previous human Yoga experience is not necessary.
