Bridging the Gap
WHAT WE OFFER
Hollyhurst Farm, LLC is a non-denominational equestrian facility. We are "Bridging the Gap" by offering clinics, workshops, and educational lectures of various disciplines for the perceptive equestrian.
Whether you are new to dressage, highly advanced or "wading through the middle", Hollyhurst Farm, LLC offers expert-led dressage clinics that will benefit riders of every discipline and every skill level. Remember, the French word "dressage" translates to the word "training" in English.
Pole Work can spice up your flatwork routine and promotes improved balance, control and steering. Pole Work helps develop suppleness, elasticity and range of motion of the limbs and joints. It improves proprioception and helps to strengthen and engage the back, hindquarters and topline of your horse. Come "Rock & Pole" at Hollyhurst Farm, LLC.
Yes, you will ride to music during these Workshops!
Founded on a noble history, modern Quadrille riding is an art form that dates back to the pageantry of the early royal courts of Europe. One of the many valuable lessons you will teach your horse by riding Quadrille is your horse will learn to pass other horses and to be passed without protest and to go at the speed you choose regardless of what other horses around them are doing. Quadrille Clinics at Hollyhurst Farm, LLC are fun and they are a wonderful learning experience for both horse and rider.

These clinics will help integrate validated principals of dressage with the best of Western stock horse tradition. You will learn to use clear, effective, subtle aids coupled with a confident seat and light, responsive hands. This communication will help you create a safe, pleasurable, versatile, and useful working horse or mule.
Equine Gymnastics and/or Cavalletti, is a wonderful way to help improve your horses scope, agility, technique and balance. A simple Cavalletti circle exercise may help improve your riding skill. The predictability of this gymnastic exercise encourages your horse to improve their jumping form and will allow you to focus on your form as well. Hollyhurst Farm, LLC's gymnastic grids and Cavalletti exercises can help both you and your horse get ready for the event field, dressage arena, the hunter show ring, the hunt field and whatever discipline you are studying.

Working Equitation has been popular in the European countries since the 1990's and is becoming one of the fastest growing equestrian disciplines in the United States. The purpose of Working Equitation is to showcase the equestrian techniques of different countries that use horses to work cattle in the field. The sport aims to preserve the traditions, riding attire and tack that are part of the countries' cultures. All breeds are welcome and in the United States riders are expected to dress according to their style of riding, whether it is western, dressage, hunt seat or traditional Spanish style.
Our lectures will bring the equestrian community together to discuss all things "Horse". This is a great way to meet other like minded people! Horse, Horse, Horse! Specific topics will be selected with the opportunity to have collaborative discussions. Hollyhurst Farm, LLC lectures may be discussion based or demonstrations with horse and/or rider.

Horse and rider biomechanics is the study of the biological movements of horses and riders, and how they interact to improve performance and safety. Feel how the subtle tilt and rotation of your pelvis interacts with your horse.
These will be noted in the Showcased Clinic area of our Events Page.
